Q&A
Q: How often should I be cleaning my ducts?
A: Depending on the environment in your home, it is recommended to get your ducts cleaned every two years. If you have pets that shed or health issues such as asthma or allergies it is recommended more frequently.
Q: What should I do to prepare for my Duct Cleaning Appointment?
A: To clean to system properly, we will need access to every vent in the home. Please have vents accessible by moving large entertainment units or large furniture away from any vents. Please also be aware that due to the high pressure air and vacuum system used to clean the system that noise is unavoidable and it is recommended to schedule any important meetings or calls (if working from home for example) to another time if possible. Also please have any pets secured as the vacuum can cause some distress.
Q: How long does it take to clean the ducts?
A: It depends! Small homes with 10-15 vents and one furnace may take 3 hours or less. Large homes with 2 furnaces and 20+ vents may take 6+ hours.
